I dare you

if you dare
crack the iced layer
shutting in your heart

if you dare
brake the mirrored window
concealing the view

if you dare
go beyond the practical hardships
like a tough shell
cutting your way

smash it

if you dare

and dive in
to the core
where the essence lays

if I dare to ask, "dare you?"
a pearl is not a promise.

I dare you to ask, dare I?
to crack the ice
to break the mirror
to see what's beneath

ask, dare I?
or
you already know
you are broken

  2. Very deep indeed, but with Jung in your sidebar I would expect nothing less :o) ... and the line 'a pearl is not a promise' just wonderful!

  4. 'Crack the ice, break the mirror and see what's beneath." Very deep introspection. It is bad enough figuring out other people let alone ourselves!
